Location: 50 North Wells Street
The original Nauvoo temple was the center piece of all Nauvoo. It was
destroyed by both a fire and tornado around the mid 1800’s, but was rebuilt in
2002. It is owned by the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-Day Saints and only members with temple recommends can enter,
however anyone is allowed outside on its beautiful temple grounds. Information on why members of the Church of
