Monument to Women Memorial Garden

Image of the Monument to Women

The Monument to Women Memorial Garden is a two-acre blend of beautiful scenery including brick walkways, trees, shrubs, and flowers.  It is sponsored by the Relief Society of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This location resembles the beginning of the women's Relief Society, which was formed in Nauvoo on March 17, 1842. This organization is one of the largest women's organizations in the world today and only started with 18 women.

This monument was constructed to commemorate and honor the important roles of women in the gospel plan. There are thirteen different statues in the garden which together depict the different and important roles of women in society. It is the largest monument to women in the world.
